The University of Algarve (UALG) is a Higher Education institution known for its excellence in Marine Sciences and the aquatic environment, in general. Within the scope of ALGAVALOR project, UALG leads work package 5, through the isolation and improvement of microalgae to produce innovative foods, biofertilizers, and biostimulants. It is also involved in work package 4, participating in the improvement of production processes using artificial lighting (LEDs) in raceways.
